<P>Of Milstein's four recordings of theTchaikovsky Concerto, the rarest up tonow has been this 1953 versionrecorded in Boston, which, outsidethe USA, was released only in France.Milstein plays beautifully and theperformance also benefits from fieryconducting by Munch, himself adistinguished former violinist. Theencores with Arthur Fiedler includethree works by Mendelssohn,Schubert and Foster which are uniqueto Milstein's discography. The discconcludes with two rarities in whichMilstein also performs as a vocalist, ineffect both playing the violin andduetting with the Italian bass EzioPinza in <em>Calm as the night and None butthe lonely heart</em>.</P>Eser Listesi
