<p>The three works presented on this recording, the <i>Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue </i>in the German <i>stylus phantasticus</i>, the <i>Fourth Partita </i>with its French <i>Ouverture </i>and the <i>Third</i> <i>English Suite </i>with its Italianate Prelude, reflect Bach's life-long interest in incorporating different national styles into his compositions. The American harpsichordist and teacher, Lisa Goode Crawford, known for her performances of French baroque music and the music of Bach, is Emerita Professor of Harpsichord at the Oberlin Conservatory.
