In Los <span data-scayt_word="Impossibles" data-scaytid="1">Impossibles</span>, Christina <span data-scayt_word="Pluhar" data-scaytid="3">Pluhar</span> and her ensemble <span data-scayt_word="L'Arpeggiata" data-scaytid="5">L'Arpeggiata</span> explore the early and traditional music of Spain, Portugal and Latin America in search of a common thread linking the many different styles and periods. Such a link was found in Los <span data-scayt_word="Impossibles" data-scaytid="2">Impossibles</span> - a piece discovered in Mexico within a manuscript composed by the Spanish Baroque guitarist Santiago de Murcia in the early <span data-scayt_word="18th" data-scaytid="6">18th</span> century. This piece is a <span data-scayt_word="romanesca" data-scaytid="7">romanesca</span> of the kind found in Italy, Spain and Portugal from the <span data-scayt_word="16th" data-scaytid="8">16th</span> century onwards. Says <span data-scayt_word="Pluhar" data-scaytid="4">Pluhar</span>: "The whole project became an exciting journey across continents and centuries ".<br /> <br /> Featuring the Grammy award-winning British vocal ensemble, The King's Singers (Simple Gifts won the Best Classical Crossover Album). They perform <span data-scayt_word="Villancico" data-scaytid="9">Villancico</span> <span data-scayt_word="catalan" data-scaytid="10">catalan</span> - a wonderful <span data-scayt_word="folksong" data-scaytid="11">folksong</span> from Catalonia, specially arranged by Goff Richards for the six voices of the King's Singers.<br /> <br /> "Hats and wigs off, then, to Christina <span data-scayt_word="Pluhar's" data-scaytid="14">Pluhar's</span> Saturday <span data-scayt_word="programme" data-scaytid="15">programme</span> Los <span data-scayt_word="Impossibles" data-scaytid="12">Impossibles</span>, featuring her gutsy group <span data-scayt_word="L'Arpeggiata" data-scaytid="13">L'Arpeggiata</span>, the King's Singers (so ebulliently suave), and Anna <span data-scayt_word="Dego's" data-scaytid="18">Dego's</span> dancing feet.
