Schubert: Impromptus - Plak

'Two words always pop up whenever Korean pianist Paik Kun-woo is brought up in conversation: diligence and perseverance. He is the most-recognized Korean pianist, well known to have mastered the complete works by the world's greatest composers such as Scriabin, Liszt, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin. Over the years spanning from 2005 to 2007, the pianist completed a milestone journey in his musical career to record the complete 32 Beethoven piano sonatas and carry out full-length performances of the masterpieces over seven consecutive days. His tireless exploration into the world of the great musicians and delicate, soft touch of piano keys has earned him two nicknames - the truth-seeker on the piano and the pilgrim of music. In 2013, the pianist released a new album dubbed Schubert: Impromptus, Drei Klavierstücke, Moments of Musicaux. In the new album, his smooth and flowing recreation of four of Schubert's impromptus, three piano pieces of Drei Klavierstücke, and Nos. 2, 4, and 6 from Moments of Musicaux deliver the essence of Romanticism.
