<p>Asturias in north-western Spain is a land of dramatic contrasts with an ancient cultural heritage. Award-winning Spanish composer Antón García Abril and writer José León Delestal drew from the rich folklore of this region for their evocative song cycle <i>Madre Asturias</i>.
