Like so many countries, Finland has an array of songs that can almost be called national treasures - songs that the people of our country have grown up with, danced to on their wedding day, listened to 1.000 times on the radio on a specific summer, or road trip... that bring back memories. In two words - great melodies and texts, that stick with us forever. However, these melodies rarely get shared with the world, due to a language barrier.<br /> <br /> I grew up in France, but have my roots in Finland. I felt a strong need to take on the mission of sharing the pearls of our culture with the world and started translating a selection of my own favorites to French.
