This new Vald‚s CD is the incredible debut album of the new Yemay label. Here we find his contribution to the fusion of Cuban music and jazz. This selection, that appears for the first time on CD, includes a variety of themes from the Cuban repertory. Chucho has been Irakere's musical director, recording with small groups, and also as a solo pianist. Here he recorded in Havana with his trio featuring the extraordinary Buena Vista Social Club's Orlando Cachaito Lopez (bass) and Enrique Pla (drums).
