With a total of 13 tracks on two LPs, the sampler 'Supreme Sessions 1' offers a wide range of styles, voices and instruments. The musicians represented are Mitch Hiller, Tubasextetten, Sven Bergers Quartet, Johan Björklund Trio, Tommy Kotter Trio, Sjöströmska Quartet and Matti Ollikainen. For the recording, sound engineer, producer and fellow musician Peter Axelsson used only two high-quality Schoeps microphones to replicate the way the human ear works. The aim of this approach is to capture a recording that is indistinguishable from a live experience.
Peter Axelsson is also responsible for the mastering. The lacquer cut for the LP pressing was made at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. The 180g double LP with 33 RPM was pressed in the brand new machines of the Swedish plant Spinroad Vinyl.
